What Is Happening to Deathcore?

Deathcore has been taking quite the hit over the past few days with two more known groups dropping bombs for all the world to see. Thy Art is Murder announced yesterday that their vocalist CJ Mcmahon has decided to part ways with the band, and today every single member of one of the most hated Deathcore groups Emmure has been turned solely into a one man project.

Thy Art is Murder yesterday posted on Facebook “After much conjecture and ambiguity on his behalf, it is with a heavy heart that we must announce today that CJ is no longer a part of Thy Art Is Murder. We have worked so hard from day one to make this band what it is now, and develop the reputation that we have and he had been there with us every step of the way. We like to think that even if someone doesn't like our music that they can at least respect our work ethic. This band has taken us to places we never thought we would see and to share stages with many bands we never thought we would get to play with or meet, let alone call friends. It is unfortunate that with our best year to date and our biggest paved out before us that he has decided to leave. All this being said, touring as hard as we do does take its toll on you physically, but more importantly mentally and emotionally. We are an underground metal band, and have been so fortunate over the last two years to carve out a small income thanks to so many dedicated and generous fans around the world. For some people, it comes to a turning point in their life where that income is no longer enough for their personal goals, and that point has come for CJ. We would like to wish him all our best as he leaves the band and moves onward to start a family and new life with his loving fiancée.” This already makes sense, as every music fan knows from either a personal or informal standpoint, touring does take a huge toll on you both mentally and physically. CJ then posted on his own personal Facebook page that he was leaving due to the fact that he only made about 16 to 18K in the six to seven years that they were together. That is no way for a man to live, all we can do is hope that new vocalist is as great as CJ and perfects where he fell short, until then Nick Arthur from the deathcore group Molotov Solution is set to be their temporary vocalist on all of their booked tour dates for 2016.

Emmure today took a huge hit, when all members of the band left except Frankie Palmeri.Emmure is one of the most hated deathcore bands you will find next to Attila and other bands with such offensive hits like ‘Bring A Gun To School.’ Bassist Mark Davis told Lambgoat this statement “As some of you may or may not have heard, Jesse, Mikael, Adam, and myself are no longer in Emmure. We have decided collectively to pursue other endeavors. We would like to thank the Emmure fans for all the support and love over the years, and to everyone who has help the band on its way, you are all greatly appreciated. Be on the lookout for a new project from the four of us in 2016.” Although this is a very professional way to leave the band and be the bigger person doyou believe there is more to this story? Frankie kept his comments nice and simple and tweeted a simple emoji holding up the peace sign to probably respond to the statement.

Deathcore altogether has been taking some huge hits lately, are you upset about CJ leaving Thy Art is Murder, do you understand why he left or are you upset at the fact that Emmure is no more?
Let me know in the comments below and as always, stay metal.
