Persona 4 is the PlayStation 2 chapter that carried the series into a small-town murder mystery and a yellow that later became inseparable from the franchise’s identity. The North American retail packaging used the full Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 title; this filing keeps the common name on the spine while recording the official NA branding in the catalog record.
The shelf retains SLUS-21782 because that is the edition Atlus shipped for NTSC-U consoles in December 2008, months after the Japanese July release. Later Vita and remaster editions rewrite presentation and platform; they do not replace the pressed PS2 object as evidence of how the game first circulated in this region.
This filing sits with Persona 3 Reload as lineage on the shelf — different hardware generations, the same series authority — without collapsing the two into a single story.

The retained copy is the North American PlayStation 2 edition published by Atlus (SLUS-21782), issued under the full packaging title Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4. North American retail packaging commonly included a bonus Original Soundtrack CD with the game disc; both media, where present, remain housed with the copy. The set remains complete in box with manual and cover insert, and is kept as the reference copy for this filing.
